Special Die-Cut Cards

Canada Post’s guidelines for the physical shape of pre-sorted Addressed Admail items states that an item may be rectangular, square, or any other shape as long as it will not prevent the smooth handling and processing of the item.

This opens up the door for using special die-cut cards, which are a great way to tune up your marketing efforts. There are so many amazing shapes that you can use to visually convey the nature of the product or the service or theme of the campaign. Want to see some samples? We've set up two different collections for you.

Basic Wireframe Die-Cut Examples

We've created and collected some really basic examples of possible die cut cards, containing only the basic shape and some basic "wireframe" details to help provide a better context. Have a look and get some ideas!

Fully Designed Die-Cut Samples

We've also designed some complete custom die-cut cards and mock ups. Feel free to take a look at these and see what a fully designed, custom die-cut card can look like!

Clearly, there are many other kinds shapes that could be used too. Feel free to let your imagination run wild!

Do be guided by common sense though. The cards do still have to travel through the mail syststem, and unless you will be putting them into some form of protective packaging, cards with complex shapes or longer, unsupported protrusions are likely to be damaged. As such, we would highly recommend that you keep your shapes as simple as possible.

This is the test box.
