Personalized Letter as a Self-Mailer

A personalized letter can become a self-mailer simply by printing the recipient’s name and address and a postal indicia on the back and then folding it in half to 8.5” X 5.5” or folding with a letter fold. Of course the nature of the fold would dictate where you would place the mailing address and indicia on the back.

If folded so that the piece lies flat, it does not have to be tabbed. However, tabbing does add intrigue, as the recipient has to break the tab to see the contents. You can add to the mystery if there is no return address (on the side with the mailing address and indicia), as the recipient’s curiosity can be raised further, wondering whom the piece is from.
