Basic 1 or 2 Fold, Single Sheet Self-Mailer

You can create a self-mailer by folding a piece of 8.5” X 11” or 8.5” X 14” paper in half, to three panels or really, however you like. When doing this however, try to keep the width of the finished piece 6 1/8” (156 mm) or less and the length at 9 5/8” (245 mm) or less. This will keep your self-mailer in the Short/Long category, which is considerably less expensive than the Oversize category.

1. Single downward fold to create a two-paneled self-mailer.

2. Followed by a second, upward fold to create a three-paneled self-mailer.

A piece such as this could be mailed as Unaddressed Admail or as Addressed Admail. However, if the piece is to be addressed, you will have to leave space for the mailing address and the postal indicia.

You can use this type of mailer for anything ranging from a sales flyer to a personalized letter.
