Ever since the heartwarming, Kevin Costner movie, Field of Dreams, some share an often misguided belief that if they build something, people will flock to it. Though the phrase “if you build it, they will come” has a nice sentiment to it, seasoned advertisers and marketers will know that there is a key ingredient missing. It’s been a busy week, but an enjoyable one. On Monday and Tuesday, several members of our team attended the annual Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO) conference in London, Ontario. We also attended a Canadian Agri-Marketing Association (CAMA) meeting at the farm show in London. In this article, Dave discusses these events and what we took away from them.
